Short version

Sunaina Kaur Nijjar writes YA Paranormal romance. She is a nursing student living in San Joaquin Valley. When not reading or writing, Sunaina can be found binge watching Bones or cooking a variety of Punjabi foods. Sunaina has one novel in the submission process and several more in various stages of completion.

Long Version

I’ve loved writing fictional stories for as long as I can remember but it wasn’t until high school that I started writing full length novels. I’m also an avid reader across many genres, but my favorite to read and write so far has been young adult paranormal romance.

I’ve always had difficulty with people saying my name since I was a kid. If you’re curious, it’s pronounced: Sue-nine-ah. For this reason, I’ve decided to begin my publishing journey as S. K. Nijjar.

I’ve traveled to many different states across the US, and being able to observe different places and people have helped me write more dynamic characters and vivid settings.

It’s truly amazing how many great books are out there today. Reading is a great hobby, not only because it distracts you from your own life, but you are able to venture into other worlds and meet different kinds of people and creatures. My goal as a writer is to be able to create worlds that people can escape into and characters they can relate to.

When I’m not reading or writing, I can usually be found binge watching my favorite TV shows while drinking profuse amounts of hot cocoa. It’s never too hot to drink hot cocoa.
