My New Writing Space

This image shows my new writing space, which features an L-shaped desk with a hutch and 5-shelf bookcase.

Hey guys, hope you are finding ways to stay cool in this heat. I want to take a break from the Immortal Realm posts this week because I am excited to share with you my new writing space. If you’re new to my website, welcome to my virtual home! Feel free to roam around and check out my about page to learn more about me.

After a long weekend of putting the pieces together, I finally have my new desk and bookshelf up! I got this desk as a birthday gift last month and we’ve been getting the pieces in the mail. Friday we finally got the last box so my mom and I got started on assembling the whole thing.

Assembly

I was amazed at how many little pieces of wood come together to form the desk. Just the desk itself came in two separate boxes and had pieces of wood labeled from A all the way to Z.

There were so many screws and nails that we had to put in to set it up. The directions thankfully were pretty straight forward though, which was nice. The L-shaped desk took the longest time to assemble because there were more pieces in it.

Features

There are so many great features in my new writing space! There is a nice cabinet with a glass door where I was able to put my desktop and speaker system so it’s hidden from view.

Then there is a filing cabinet and a drawer that can be handy for organizing and storing things as well.

One of my favorite features though is the charging station where I can plug in my phone while I’m writing so I don’t get distracted.

My Snow Globes

I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally have a place to show off my snow globe collection! I’ve been collecting them for years now from all my trips.

Now that they are all in one place, I can count that I have a total of thirty-three snow globes. Although out of those, five of them were gifts. I have globes from nine different states: California, Kansas, Hawaii, Missouri, Iowa, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Texas. My aim is to collect all fifty one day!

My Harry Potter Shelf

I’ve always been a huge Harry Potter fan and those of you who are also fans will hopefully love my Harry Potter bookshelf as much as I do! Check it out. πŸ˜ƒ

The top shelf of my bookshelf is dedicated to Harry potter books, globes, and movies.

So what’d you think?

So that’s it I guess, the highlights of my new writing space. I hope you liked it. Now that I have a great new space to work on my writing, I will be spending more time writing my novels and blog posts.

Let me know what you thought in the comments!
